Hi, I’m Dee H.

I was born and raised in Georgia, USA. I had longstanding health problems, and became physically disabled in January 2024 due to a still-unknown progressive neuromuscular disorder. I’ve been through dozens of tests and medications, been in different types of care, and dealt with the good and the bad in the American healthcare system. I started this blog in the hopes that writing my experiences could help other people feel seen and understood in a system where those with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and complex medical histories are often swept under the rug. I hope to build a community where it’s ok to ask questions and learn from each other.
